Easter Pageant

We went to the Easter Pageant last night. It was so much fun. I was really tired and really didn't feel like going but still wanted to take the boys and I was a little nervous going this year with 3 boys 3 and under but it was totally successful!!! It was a lot of fun. I like to sit on the grass on a blanket and eat food. So, we brought pizza and ate before the show started and by the time the pageant started the boys were ready to watch it. Ethan sat on my lap through the entire thing! Bradley sat in front of me with his head laying on my knee the entire time as well! Zack just crawled around and had fun. He only cried once when the lady next to us tried to hold him :) It was really really nice. I was explaining everything to the boys throughout the show and they really seemed to be soaking it up. Kyle's dad and brother got to come with us too. It was a lot of fun. I am really glad we went. I love the Easter Pageant. If you haven't gone yet this year you should. The last show is Saturday. It starts at 8 pm at the Mesa LDS Temple. Go it is fun :)

Rent?!

For my birthday Kyle gave me tickets to 4 plays at Gamage!!! Super nice. I really liked that present. The first one that he picked was Rent. I never rented the movie because I knew what it was about and figured I wouldn't really like it very much but since he already picked the show I thought we could try it. It was terrible. I really didn't like it. In the middle of it Kyle turns to me and says, "Well, should we go to a movie?" So if you get a chance to go...I wouldn't :)

I am really excited for the other plays though. We are going to see Cats next, which I am excited about. I have heard it is sort of weird considering it is a bunch of people dressed up like cats singing but I am excited. Next is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. That should be fun. To finish the present we will see Wicked! I love wicked. We saw it in LA 2 years ago (wow has it been that long life goes so fast!). It will be a lot of fun. I love this present! Thanks Kyle!

Harry Potter

I finally read the Harry Potter books. Kyle has been trying to get me to read them since we got married. I never was really that excited to read them because first off I have seen the movies, secondly they just didn't really appeal to me that much for some reason. But I have to say I LOVED THEM!!!

They were really just very good. The first one was a little boring to read because I have seen that movie quite a bit. The second one was a little better and the third one was even better. They just continued to get better and better. I didn't remember the 5th at all. I think I slept through the movie so I didn't know what was going on. They were really good I liked them a lot. I am going through withdrawals right now. Actually I am glad to be done with them now because it really was taking up a lot of time but I really did enjoy reading them. I miss reading them now...but it has been a lot easier to get things down around the house now. I am excited to see the 6th movie. It should be good :) I totally recommend them even if you have seen the movies. They leave out so so so much. The movies are like the books in super speed and just a little bit different. Anyways read Harry Potter if you haven't!

Disneyland!!!

For my graduation present Kyle surprised me with a trip to Disneyland. You have to understand that I absolutely LOVE Disneyland. We haven't been there since we got engaged so I have been dying to go. We had decided to not go until at least Bradley and Ethan would be able to remember it so I was really surprised and very excited!

It was so much fun! We left Friday morning around about 5. We got there and checked into the hotel around noon. Then we headed off to the happiest place on earth! :) It was so much fun. The first ride we went on was Snow White's Scary Adventure. That was a mistake. The title should have tipped us off but I didn't think about it. It scared the boys. After that we headed off to Peter Pan. I have been so excited to take the boys on this ride for quite some time because they have been very into Peter Pan. Unfortunately Bradley was a little hesitant to go on this ride considering how scary Snow White was. But we made him go on it anyways because we thought he would like it. It scared him but he liked it too (You have to admit Captain Hook is pretty scary). After that we went on the Dumbo ride. He really like that. Ethan didn't have a problem with them. He liked them a lot. Bradley did like them but every time that we got him to the front of the line to go he was always saying that he didn't want to go. But once he got on he liked it. He was big enough to go on Splash Mountain. He liked that. I went on it with him first. The thing that he didn't like about it is that it got his face wet :) He went on that ride twice. He also went on Star Tours with Kyle, but he wouldn't go on it again with me. We went on Pirates and the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Toon Town stuff and the favorite ride.............................Buzz Lightyear!!!! The boys loved this ride.

We were able to meet one of our friends from the ward there. That was a lot of fun. We switched off kids and went on some rides. It was rainy while we were there. We were suppose to go on Monday too but it was raining from the start so we asked it we could get a ticket for a different day and decided to go home. We were disappointed but it really was for the best. It was so much fun. I am so glad that we were able to go!

Thanks Kyle!!!

P.S.
The boys are still talking about Disneyland now and how they want to go back. Just today Ethan woke up from his nap saying that he was going to take a sword to Disneyland and fight with Captain Hook on the Peter Pan ride and the Crocodile :)

Update

My Picasa isn't working right now and I haven't had the time (or desire) to work with it yet so I haven't been posting. Until I get it worked out I guess I will just post picture free (boring I know :) ). What's been going on...

Christmas was good. We had a lot of fun. We got the boys a big blow up slide. They really liked that. Kyle got rims for his truck. He really liked that. We got to spend a lot of time with our families. We had a wonderful Christmas.

New Years was a lot of fun. We went to dinner with my family then to a movie.

Daniel (Kyle's brother) left on his mission to Washington and Briggs (Kyle's other brother) came home from his mission in Canada. That was fun. The weeks before Daniel left we were able to spend a lot of time with him. The boys really like him a lot. They had a lot of fun with him. We were able to go bowling and have an early Thanksgiving dinner. It was a lot of fun. We are sure going to miss him but are glad that he has the opportunity to serve. The boys are also really excited that Briggs is home now. He has come over a few times and they can't get enough of him. Bradley goes up to him and says, "Watch what I can do." and does a bunch of "fighting ticks". Then he says to Briggs "What can you do?" It was really funny. They have been having a lot of fun with him.

We had Kiera's girls come and spend the night with us while they were still there. That was really fun. I was glad that they were able to spend so much time with us. It also made me realize how hard that would be to have 7 kids 6 and under. It really was fun though. We had Lunchables that Kiera left for them, we made pizza for dinner and they played all day long.

Let's see...

Bradley is doing well. He graduated to Sunbeams. He is really excited about that. He did very good with the change adjustment but then we got sick and stayed home two weeks in a row. The past two weeks he has had a hard time going but I am sure he will be just fine in a few weeks. He has picked up some cool new "fighting tricks" from Kung-Fu Panda (which we have now given away). He jumps around punching and kicking and puts on a scowl. It is actually pretty cute. Ethan runs around copying him. It is cute. Tonight after dinner the boys were helping me clear off the table and Bradley came over and gave me a big hug and told me that he loves me. It was so sweet.

Ethan. We are still trying to work with him on sleeping in his own bed in Bradley's room. It is making some progress but I think we have gotten in to a little bit of a rut. We put him into his old room if he comes out. Sometimes he stays in his bed but most of the time he ends up coming out. So we are still working on that. Today it was so sweet. He went and started unloading the dishwasher all by himself. He managed to put all of the silverware away not necessarily in the right spots but he got all of the spoons together and all of the forks together and all of the knives. I was pretty impressed. He did manage to break two bowls in the process but what can you do. I just thought it was so sweet that he decided to do the dishes.

Zack is doing great. He was tongue tied so we had the surgery to release his tongue this month. That went great (besides that it was scheduled for 6:15 in the morning!). My mom and Michelle watched the kids for us. They spent the night there. That was really nice. We got there and they took us back to talk to us then took Zack back and he was seriously back there for maybe 10 mins. It took no time at all!!! He did great. His tongue looks great as well. Of course I I get all nervous before he goes in that anything could go wrong but nothing did :) He has started crawling!!! He started the day before his surgery. He looks so cute. He isn't eating any baby food. He really really does not like it. I guess he doesn't like the texture or something. I have been feeding him veggies that we are eating. He really likes grabbing the food with his hands. At his 9 month check up he was in the 20th percentile. That made me a little nervous because he used to be in the 70th percentiles. The dr. said that he will watch it. If he is still like that at his year check up I will be more concerned but we will see. Hopefully he will be eating more by then.

Kyle is doing well and so am I. Life is pretty good.

College Graduate!!!

I am finally done with my Bachelors degree in Psychology!!! I thought I was going to have to do one more class but when we went to figure out which class I was going to do they realized I could just transfer more credits from MCC in (all I needed were 2 elective credits), so I am done!!!

I am so glad to be done!

Christmas Family Home Evening

We had our Christmas Family Home Evening on Sunday. It was really nice. Everybody had a part.

The little kids sang Jingle Bells. Bradley did really good. Ethan was off running around somewhere.

Santa came!!! Ethan was hesitant at all.

The kids all went to wait by the stairs to see Santa come (Bradley said they were waiting to scare him). The kids were laying on the floor holding on to the stair rail looking through it. Bradley ran over there to do it too and tripped over Kent's feet and hit his head on the railing. I saw him trip and so I picked him up and saw that it was bleeding pretty bad so I took him to the bathroom. I rinsed water on it and it was still bleeding really fast so I went to get Kyle but he was on his way anyways and somebody called Jay to come and look. Luckily Jay was there and was able to take care of him. He had us put a rag with ice on it to stop the bleeding and then told us to go over to his house and he would be able to fix it. We first had to say hi to Santa because Bradley was really excited about that.

Right after this picture Zack reach up and took the candy cane.

Right after Santa we went over to Jays house. (which by the way looks amazing!)

My mom came to be there with us and she had Kent and Mallory with her. She said that one the way over Kent said, "Bradley didn't see my foot." Poor Kent felt bad. But Bradley is okay so no need to feel bad Kent :) Now he just looks tough!

Bradley was pretty brave. He said it didn't hurt once Jay started putting the glue on it.

There he is all better!

We told Bradley that after Jay fixed his cut we would go look at some Christmas lights that we were planning on looking at to begin with. So we met everybody there. They had already been there but Kiera and Craig said they would walk around with us. All the kids were running around and having fun until...
Yep! Ethan fell and bonked his head on the cement!

So that night both my boys came home with head injuries.

Poor little guys!

Friday we went shopping. In the evening got together and had dinner and then a talent show.

The dinner was very good.

So was the talent show. Our boys sang "Heavenly Father Loves Me". They did great. Kyle was the MC. Kyle, me, and others did a lip sink thing to an army song. It was fun.

At the very end all the cousins got up and sang "I Am a Child of God". It was really cute. Everybody did great.
Saturday we went to Castles and Coasters. That was actually a lot of fun. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be but it was. We all wore our tie-dyed shirts there. The were some rides that the kids got to enjoy and some that the adults did. We also got to play a round of miniature golf. It was fun.
Sunday we got together for our final dinner. It was a great week. It was very very busy but fun.

Thursday

Thursday was fun. Kyle was planning on playing football with the boys at 8 so I decided to run the Turkey Trot with Kiera (note: I have only been jogging once since I had Zack and that was only for a half an hour running 5 mins walking 5 mins.)

I wasn't registered so I was planning on getting there around 8:30 and registering and then running but Kyle decided to sleep in so I didn't get there until 9:20 (the race started at 9). I just joined in with Kiera when I got there and then at the end bought a tee-shirt for $5 instead of $22!

So I really only ran like 3 (or 4 miles I ran to my car and back to get my wallet for my shirt afterward :) ) But it was a lot of fun. My mom watched all of our kids. (Thanks mom)
For dinner we went over to Neola's. It was very nice. There was so much food. After dinner we went over to the Nielsen's side to see them then we all went over to my moms house to watch a movie. By the time we got everything ready our kids (and myself) were really tired and grouchy so we had to go home.

Wednesday

Wednesday we went to the church building and played kickball and tie-dyed tee-shirts.

Hunter showed us how to do it.

They all turned out really cute.

All the kids got to pick their own color. Bradley absolutely loves his!
That night we went to the Kyle and I were going to go to a Cold Play concert but instead sold the tickets and became $700 richer :) So, we went home and did homework instead. (Yay!)

Rappelling

Tuesday we all went rappelling. That was a lot of fun.

It was perfect weather.

I hadn't done this forever. I wasn't sure if I was going to because ever since I have become a mom I haven't really had an interest in putting my life in danger anymore but I did and I really enjoyed it. I went 3 times! :)

Jason is the one that organized this. He brought all the stuff. Thanks Jason and Jen!

The cousins all had so much fun together. (There are so many of them!!! And all under 6!!!)

This is Kyle trying to decide if he wanted to go commando

This is him deciding he likes his life better than trying to be cool.

Up on the mountain Egyptian style

Kiera and the other girls were sitting in the chairs just talking and all of a sudden Kiera jumps up and yells "SPIDER!!!!!" There was a huge taranchula looking spider right next to her on the ground!

It was crazy! And then Hunter and Craig had a great idea of picking it up!

And then there is Zack again!
That night we all got babysitters and went out as adults!! That was really nice. We went out to dinner and then went to a movie. It was fun. (Thanks for babysitting Ashton!)

Monday

Monday we went to the park and had lunch. It was a lot of fun.

We played at the park,

rode the carousel,

and the train!

After the park some of us went bowling. The kids enjoyed that very much.

So did the boys :)

Zack was very good this week. (He is always good)
That night we went to the drive in. That was a lot of fun. We saw Bolt. It was cute.
