38 weeks

I made it to the dr yesterday. Good news, she said I was dilated to 4, only problem is lack of contractions :) . The dr. stripped my membranes, how she explained it she like tickles his head, but when she did he totally moved a ton! It was funny. I went to the temple to see Shantay (my cousin) go through for the first time, which was really nice, and I was having contractions all through that. They also continued after so I had Michelle and her friend come out to my house with me just in case. They continued until about 11:30 but they weren't consistent or really hard or super close so I went to bed. Now they are gone. Which is fine. Shantay is getting married this week so if he came now I would miss all of that.

But things are going good. I feel good. We are getting excited. We still don't have a name for him (maybe that is why he isn't coming yet:). I am sure that we will figure something out once he comes but for now he is "Baby".

I am just really excited to be able to be having this other little baby. It is so neat and I feel so blessed to be able to be a mom. I love it so much. It is neat that this baby is coming and I have know idea who he is yet and to know that in just a little while I am going to have so much love for him like I do for my other boys. I really love them so much. It is a great blessing to be a mom. It is hard but it is amazing. I was just sitting here thinking about this baby and wondering what he is doing. Is he up in heaven still saying all of his good byes or is he already in my stomach just waiting to come out? I wonder what his good bye in heaven was like. It is fun to think of all of the people that he, very recently, has been with like my grandparents, kyles mom, and other ancestors and probably his future siblings and family members. I love my family so much. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and that we can all be sealed together.

One Rotten Afternoon!

So I had a drs appointment this afternoon at 4:50. I asked Karyn to watch the kids yesterday so I woke them up from their naps around 3:30 to go. Bradley wasn't very happy after I woke him up but he was very excited to be going to Kent and Mallory's house. We were on our way and ended up getting rear ended on the on ramp to the I-10 and 60. Fortunately nobody got hurt but Bradley didn't make it to Kent and Mallory's house and I didn't make it to my drs appointment. We were both very disappointed that we didn't get to go where we were headed. We called the police to get everything worked out but we didn't finish until 5:10. I called the dr and rescheduled but there weren't any appointments with my dr so I have to see a different one. That was sort of disappointing but what can you do. Over all I think Bradley was crying today from 3:30 to 6:00. We tried to call Kent to talk to him but he wasn't home so we called Lacie and Alexa and that make him happy. So basically I woke my kids up from their nap to drive to the I-10, get rear ended, miss my appointment and to drive back in rush hour. Not my kind of afternoon (or my kids').

(Sorry for canceling on you again Karyn, thanks for being willing to watch my boys!)

Easter!

Easter was a lot of fun. Bradley woke up around 6:30 and found his basket. We told him to go and look at it at the table. Then like 30 seconds later I realized that I should probably get up and take pictures of him or something. So, around 7:00 we got Ethan up so that we could do everything and still get to church on time at 9:00. They both really liked their baskets. After that we did the egg hunt. That was fun. Then we ate breakfast and went to church. After church we went over to Kyle's Dad's house for dinner. That was delicious. After that we stopped by my parents house for a little bit. All of my aunts and some cousins were still there because they were helping Michelle answer the guy that asked her to prom. It was fun. Then we went home. I think we finally got to our house around 9:45 or 10:00. It was a long day but it was a lot of fun. The boys really enjoyed everything and it was fun to watch them.
Bradley and his basket

It was funny, the Easter Bunny brought him a toy snake and while it was in the package Bradley didn't have any problems with it but once I took it out he was hesitant at first to touch it. It was funny. Kyle explained to him that it wasn't real. It as cute.

Ethan and his basket.

He completely enjoyed it!

Easter Egg Hunt

We went and looked for eggs that the Easter Bunny left for the boys to find after they looked through their baskets. It was a lot of fun. They liked it a lot.
Ethan finding an egg.

Saying, "Cheese" on my request.

Bradley hit a jackpot! He found three all at once!

Bradley had a fun time finding the harder eggs. They did a great job.

Church

I decided to take pictures of us before we went to church. I like to do that every once in a while. We didn't get any new outfits or anything but everyone still looks nice :)

Orange Blossoms

Kyle and I had a picnic out in our backyard on Saturday night with our boys. It was a lot of fun. Kyle grilled some hamburgers and I got the buns ready and then we ate out in the backyard on a blanket right by our orange tree. It smelt really nice. This is my absolute favorite smell. I love orange blossoms. I have been waiting for this time of year since we planted those trees. I am very excited and happy. They smell great!

Tricycle

Our neighbor let Bradley borrow her grandson's tricycle. He loves it!!! He has been riding it around our kitchen nonstop. I am very impressed at how fast he picked up on pedaling. He is doing a great job.

Ethan

Ethan will follow Bradley around on the train. It is so much fun to see these two boys play together.

I was doing the dishes down stairs and Ethan was up stairs. I heard a thump so I ran (well moved quicker than I normally do) up stairs to see what happened. I came to the hallway and Ethan was there crying. He must have fell on a toy or something and hit his eye. I felt so bad for him. It looked even more red after his nap. Poor little guy.

36 weeks and 2 days!

I am 36 weeks! That means only 4 weeks left!!! We are getting pretty excited. I went to the Dr on Tuesday and found out that I am dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced! Crazy! That doesn't really mean that I will have the baby now but I am definitely well on my way :) I am excited but I almost wish I didn't find out because before I was fine with waiting 4 more weeks (actually happy, it gave me time) but now I feel like he could come any day and that is all I am thinking about. Oh well.
I am feeling pretty good though. I have read that in the last month you could get a burst on energy and I have always wanted that but never noticed it. Well this time I think I did. It wasn't anything huge but I was able to do things that I wasn't before (like clean up:) ). My stomach is getting really uncomfortable but over all I am feeling pretty good.
I think we are pretty much ready for him to come. We got the crib set up. I put all of his clothes in his dresser. I finished his blanket. We went and got a car seat for him on Tuesday. There really isn't much left that I have to get done before he comes. I do need to pack every one's bags for the hospital still but that wont take too long.

Change!

I was driving in the car this weekendand this song come on the radio that was all about life and how it goes by so fast and to just enjoy what phase of life you are in at the moment. That is something that I really have had to and still do work hard to do or maybe I do it to good. Change is really hard on me for some reason, especially when a new baby is about to come. The other day Kyle and I were setting up the crib for the baby and I just started feeling so bad that my life as I know it is going to change even though I know I am going to love my life with the baby here it is still hard to let go of what I have now. It actually makes me feel good to know that I aparently must enjoy my life a lot to be so sad that it is going to change. I do love my life. I love spending all of my time with my two little boys and my husband. I really do have a good life. But I know it is only going to get better (like it always does once the baby is here.) I remember right before I had Bradley I got very clingy to Kyle because I knew those were the last days that we were ever going to have like that (which weren't many). Then when Ethan was on his way I got very sad that it wasn't just going to be Kyle, Bradley and me any more. This always happens in the eigth or ninth month when they are really about to be here. But I just really try hard to not think about what I am loosing (which isn't much) but what I am gaining (which is a ton!). I am so grateful for my family. I love them so much. I am so glad that I can be a mom. Even though we ended up starting a little faster than we intended I am so happy that we did. It is such a joy to be around my two little boys. They make me so happpy. I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with them. I am so grateful for Kyle and how hard he works for our family. He does such a good job. I am so grateful and excited for this new little person that is going to come to our family. He is going to add so much and change our family in a way that can only make it better. I am so grateful to be able to have these children. This is exactly what I wanted to be doing when I "grew up". I have very good life and I am excited for the changes that it brings.
