Farnsworth Reunion

This is at the Farnsworth reunion. It was a lot of fun...

Ethan and Grandpa

Bradley and Kyle playing kickball

Running in to home plate!!! Looks like Bradley is having the time of his life!

Bradley

...It was very nice up there. It was very cool and pretty...

...Until the rains came!!!

We put our tent right in the middle of the wash! It was actually a very funny experience. Kyle, Ethan and I were inside the tent and Bradley was right outside and then all of a sudden "Boom! Crack!" The first sounds of thunder and Bradley comes running to the tent and dives on the air mattress screaming and crying. I reached for him and tried to comfort him while trying to hold back my laughter because it was quite comical. So Kyle and I laid on the air mattress listening to the thunder roll and tried to comfort our kids for about half an hour. Then rain started coming and boy did it come! Our tent started to leak right off so Kyle went out into the down pour and put a tarp on top of our tent. That helped a lot. The tarp started blowing off of the tent so Kyle had to go out there for a second time. I was holding both of the boys and trying to comfort them when all of the sudden we hear Kyle yelling and screaming. He had sprained his ankle! So he came back in and I went out and finished. When I came back in everything was okay for a while. We continued to lay there trying to comfort Bradley and in the mean time Ethan fell asleep in Kyle's arms (the joys of parenthood right there). Bradley finally calmed down and started relaxing and singing songs with us when all of the sudden the tent starts to move. I got up to see what was going on. I looked outside of our tent and we were in the middle of a river literally!!! I turned back to Kyle and told him we had to get out of there and go to Ryan and Aprils RV (thanks for the help Ryan and April!!!). So he hobbled over to the car and I took the boys out him. They waited in there while I got all of our stuff out. It was quite the experience. We ended up packing up and going home. We had to leave our tent because we didn't have room in our car to bring it and one of the poles broke and I ripped the zipper. So it wasn't really worth trying to find somebody in the pouring rain that could bring it back for us. Daniel and Kyle's cousin were suppose to dispose of it. Hopefully they did.

That is our ice chest. Our car was parked right to the left of it.

Ethan, Kyle and Bradley in the car waiting for me. By the way that is Bradley's real face. He was terrified, obviously.

Me getting all of the stuff :)

Ethan's Olson 1st Birthday Party

We did two seperate parties this year because Karyn and I wanted to celebrate Ethan and Eldon's birthdays together since they are only a day apart.

They are so cute together.

Dad cooked hotdogs. So for those of you that don't like hotdogs you can be glad you weren't there. (Kiera) :)

I love having at least Justin and Karyn in town, on our side of the family. Bradley has a lot of fun playing with Mallory. They just run off and start playing with each other. It is cute.

The Birthday Boys about to open presents!

Eldon had to take a break from all of the festivities

I swear they make those toys impossible to get out!

Birthday Cake!!!

The kids helped Ethan with his frosting, how sweet of them :)

Happy Anniversary!

This past week Kyle and I went to California for a week. It was so nice. Michelle and our family watched the boys. It was really really really nice. (Thanks Michelle!!!) The first day that we got there we went to Hurricane Harbor. That was a lot of fun. We only stayed until about 4. After that we went and checked into our hotel. It was really nice.

This is the lobby.

This is the hallway. It was built in the 1920's. They had an Oscar ceremony there. After we got checked in and everything we walked around downtown LA. And let me tell you! It is just like the movies. There are a ton of homeless people and just scary people too. We walked by this one lady and she was waiting for the bus and all of a sudden she starts going, "Baa... Baa... Baa" really loud. It was weird. Then we walked down a different street and this black, older man comes up to Kyle and says, "Smell my finger." Kyle just said, "No thank you" as we walked by and he starts laughing, this really loud laugh like he knows something we don't "WAAHAHA!" It was really crazy. I felt like the people in Adventures in Babysitting. Then by this time it was dark and we were trying to get back to the hotel and we turned down this street and I saw something dart across the side walk so I stopped and looked ahead and there were at least 8 to 10 huge rats running around!!! It was so disgusting. But we finally made it back to the hotel. I was very glad.

The next day we went and did a session in the Los Angeles Temple. That was very nice.

Kyle thought he was clever :)

After the temple we went to Fogo De Chao.

It is a churrascaria, Brazilian Steakhouse. It was really good. They have a salad bar and then they have the waiters come around with all different types of barbecued meat that they cut off onto your plate right there. They have a little coaster looking thing that you flip to the green side when you want them to stop at your plate and the red side when you don't want them to bring you any meat. You can flip it over as many times as you want. It was really cool. We got to try a bunch of different things. But beware when the check comes. It is very expensive. We thought it was half the price and it was still going to be expensive for us. Surprise!

After dinner we went to Wicked! I loved it!!! It was very good! I highly suggest it!

Sunday we went to church at a church in Beverly Hills. It was really cool. It was built in the 1920's and they really wanted to get this stained glass but it was to expensive for the tithing money so the person in charge went to one of the really wealthy members and asked them if they would donate the money for it. He did. It was $250,000 and that is back in the 1920's. It looked really cool. The stake pres. wife was telling us all of this. She also said that Pres. Hunter was a Stake Pres. there. It was a very nice building. (check out the guys green mohawk)

Monday we went to Hard Rock Cafe. That was cool. Then we walked around Universal City (that is the entrance to Universal Studios, there are a lot of shops and Hard Rock Cafe :)
