My College Graduate

Well Kyle finally finished his bachelors degree. Sunday was his last day of class. I am so proud of him. He worked very hard at it. He is sure going to enjoy not having to do homework anymore (and watching me do it instead). I hope he doesn't get bored :) Kyle sure works hard for our family. I am so grateful for him. I was just telling him last night how grateful I feel for everything we have even the small things like milk. I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with the kids and still be able to make all of our bills and that is because of Kyle. He really really works hard. And now some of his hard work is paying off. He is done with school! (at least until he decides to get a masters :) Way to go hon! I love you and thanks for doing so much for our family.

My Greatest Accomplishment

So when we got the Wii we got Super Paper Mario. I have been playing it off and on now for a while. I finally beat it! I don't think I have ever beat a video game in my life before (that really must say something about the game)! I was pretty proud of myself. I don't think I even ever beat the original Mario Bros. But I do have to say that it was the probably the biggest waist of time I have ever spent. Now I know why I don't usually beat video games. You have to dedicate a lot of time and get good at it. It was fun though (until the last guy he was really annoying) and spread our over a lot of time it wasn't that bad. I was really close to finishing it so I dedicated a lot of time to it this past week because I wanted to finish before I started going to school again. So by the time I finished I was pretty tired of playing it and felt like I was spending way to much time on it. But I finished just in the nick of time. I start school today and I finished yesterday. Yay! Way to go me. Ha ha. j/k Just thought I would share my wonderful accomplishment :)

Trunk or Treating

We went to the ward trunk or treating activity. It was a lot of fun. Bradley just ran around and played with everyone. He had a lot of fun. He really liked the candy part.

Ethan was such a cute little lion. It was funny. We had just finished eating our chili so I put Ethan down to walk around. He wondered a little bit and found another lion. I saw the little boys dad start to take a picture and he says, "Ethan look at me." The little boys name was Ethan also. How ironic.

A chicken says, "Bawk, Bawk, Bawk"

When we came home we put Ethan to bed and let Bradley stay up a little bit and eat some of his candy. He was as happy as can be. Seriously, we have never seen him happier and more pleasant.

Zoo!

We went to the zoo this Saturday as a family. It was a lot of fun. I got a season pass this year and the boys and I have already gone but this was the first time with Kyle. It was very fun and very tiring. It was actually boo at the zoo so there were people in costumes there and they were having activities and stuff. It was so funny, we were walking to the reptile exhibit and there was a person dressed up in a creepy monkey costume and jumping around like a monkey. I was pushing the stroller with Ethan in it and Kyle and Bradley were a little bit behind me. I saw the monkey and just thought "Wow, he is creepy looking." Then like five seconds later I hear Bradley go, "Ahh!" then a pause and then another, "Ahh!" and then a pause and then he just started screaming. Kyle picked him up and told him that it was just someone in a costume and they stood back and looked at him and he was okay. It was sad but really funny because it was like he was seeing something from out of a nightmare but didn't actually believe it and had to check because he kept pausing. But on Bradley's defense he really was weird looking.

The tiger was really cool this time. He was up walking around and ROARING! That was really neat.

And the male Lion just looked really cool. I hadn't seen him at all this season and it took me of guard when we turned the corner and saw him sitting there. He is a very impressive animal. The female lion or should I say lioness (thank you Lion King) was sleeping in the bushes and we could barely see her.

Carving the Pumpkin

We carved a pumpkin Friday night. It was a lot of fun. Bradley really liked it. He helped me scoop out the pumpkin guts and draw the face to carve. He watched very intently while Kyle carved it. Ethan was a little interested, more so in if it tasted good or not.

Goofy picture

My guess is it must have tasted okay because he tried quite a few times.

Bradley

It is amazing how fast these little boys grow up and how fast they learn so much. It was so funny, earlier this morning Bradley and I went into Ethan's room to get him out of his crib. We were looking at their old baby swing which has a zebra, lion, giraffe and elephant on it. We were making the noises of the animals and we came to the elephant and Bradley says, "We see elephant zoo." And I responded by saying, "Yeah, we see elephants at the zoo." Then he looks at me like something is wrong then says, "No! no elephants! One elephant zoo." Wow that totally surprised me. In the astonishment that my 2 year old was learning plurals and numbers I didn't feel the need to correct him and say that there is actually two elephants at the zoo. I was amazed. It is crazy how the learn.

I guess Bradley thought it was fun taking a bath in the sink the other day. I was doing my hair and Bradley was suppose to be washing his hands and face in the sink. So, when I came in to check on him he had his diaper off and had climbed into the sink. Silly boy! He is so sweet. So, I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Taking a bath" with a big smile.

I sure do love him and Ethan. They are both so sweet. It is so much fun being their mom. I love watching what they will do and learn next.

Breakfast!

Bradley decided to be helpful this morning. I walked in and he had started feeding Ethan. It was really cute.

Bradley is telling me that Ethan said "more" with is hands.

Pregnancy Update :)

Well, I am 16 weeks now and I felt the baby move for the first time yesterday!!! I love the first little movements. They are so tiny and you are so unsure if it is really it or not (but speaking from experience it was this time :). I think that is the best part of pregnancy, feeling the baby move. It is so exciting. (Well, at least up until he starts jabbing you in the ribs and wont stop)

I have been feeling really good. Just extremely tired. It has gotten a little bit better since I am out of the first trimester but it hasn't gone away completely. My back hasn't been hurting me as much as it did with the other two so that is good. It has been giving me a little bit of problems but nothing a heating pad and a good nights sleep can't cure. I am already in maternity pants which was sort of depressing but I decided it is better to have comfort then to pretend that I still fit in my normal jeans :) We find out what we are having in two week!!! I am really excited. That is always really fun.

We are trying to explain to Bradley that I have a baby in my stomach...I don't think he gets it :) I will tell him and he will point to my tummy and say "Baby?" and I say "yup". Then he will point to his tummy and say "Baby." But he will get the idea soon enough when I bring another cute little baby home, so I'm not to stresses about it I just think it is cute :) I showed him a pregnancy book and I think maybe he got a little bit of a better understanding but I don't think he will really understand until he sees the baby. I don't even bother with Ethan :)

But things are going good. I sleep a lot at night (I can't say up past 10) and sit a lot during the day and try to keep things organized. So far I have done okay, I think. My goals right now are to exercise more and to get the bathrooms scrubbed (Kyle). And that is about it. Life is good.

So, any guesses of what I will have? I have know idea.

Family Home Evening

We made Halloween sugar cookies for Family Night. The boys really liked that. It was a lot of fun and yummy!

Kyle and Bradley's work of art

Bradley had a hard time putting the frosting on the cookie. He just wanted to eat it all. But he looks pretty proud of what he did :)

Ethan helped by keeping himself occupied

I put Ethan in the sink to rinse him off and Bradley thought it looked like fun.

Painting

So this morning before Kyle went to work I asked him what I should do today so that I wont be bored. Of course he first started with "the dishes, laundry" yaddy yadda... Then he said I should go to Micheals and find and art project. So... of we went. I didn't find a project for me because the kids were getting to restless but I found one for me and Bradley. Painting!!! We have never done that together yet. It was a lot of fun. Bradley was very excited. Thanks for the great idea Kyle!

Bradley getting ready to paint.

He painted with every color and while he would paint he would say, "Paint, paint, paint, paint". It was very cute. He loved it!

This Past Week

This past week has been a lot of fun. First Jason and his family came down for his 10 year high school reunion. That was a lot of fun. Bradley had a lot of fun hanging out with Dallin. I got to spend the day with just Jen while Jason and Kyle went golfing (Jason won). That was very fun. I got to know her a little bit better. Then the whole family besides Justin and Karyn (Justin when hunting) and those out of town, came over to our house and had pizzas and played games. That was fun. I love spending time with our family.

Then last weekend we had the Briggs Family reunion. That was a lot of fun. I love going to that. It is a lot of fun to get to know all of Kyle's cousins and aunt and uncles. They are so much fun. Unfortunately I slept through the funnest part this year, the auction. I was bummed but it was nice of Kyle to let me sleep. I needed it. Ethan woke up both days at the crack of dawn luckily he just played in our little cabin (which is so nice to have) while we laid there trying to sleep. It was a lot of fun though. Kyle and Dave Peterson won the horseshoe tournament. Kyle was pretty proud of that :) Bradley had so much fun there. He would play on the little bikes they had there and just wonder around. He loved seeing his grandpa there everyday. Every time he would see him he would say, "Pampa!" all surprised. It was cute. Ethan had fun too. This was the first time that I didn't have a new little baby. That was really nice :) It was a lot of fun.

So, this week has been a week full of family. It really made me start thinking about my family. I love my family so much. They do so much for me. I am so grateful for everybody. My parents are so great. They are always there when I need them. Kemp is great also. He is always ready to help if we need it. I really couldn't ask for a better father in law. My brother's and sister's spouses really add to our family. They all just fit in so nicely and really make our family a better family. And Kyle's brothers are a lot of fun to hang out with. It is an adjustment for me to hang out with so many boys but luckily April is there. I am really grateful for my parent and Kemp and Nora. If it weren't for them none of us(Olson and Farnsworth offspring) would be here. When I was at the reunion I was walking up to the lodge and saw Kemp and I just really fell a lot of gratitude towards him for raising such a great family. If if weren't for him and Nora I wouldn't have Kyle. I love Kyle so much. He is such a great husband. And to top it off my kids are wonderful. I love them so much. I am so grateful for eternal families that we are all going to be together forever! Farnsworths and Olsons! I love you guys so much. Anyways, thanks for being my family.

Backyard!!!

Before:

After:

We finally finished our backyard, well basically we still have to put rock on the sides but the part that we will actually use is done!!!
Yay!!! Kyle and my dad did such a good job. They worked so hard. It looks great! Our final touches were the two citrus trees in the corners and now that they are in it looks done! It is so nice to have it done. We go out there every evening after dinner to play with the boys. It is very nice especially now that the weather is getting cooler. Thanks for doing that Kyle and Dad! It looks magnificent! :)

Domestic Engineer?

Alright, so this lady calls me today and is trying to sell me on something. This is how the conversation went.

She asks,"What do you do for work?" a harmless enough question.

I answer,"I say at home with my kids."

She replies with extreme enthusiasm,"A domestic engineer!"

"What?" not really understanding her.

With the continued enthusiasm she says,"You are a domestic engineer! That is the hardest job there is! You have to... take care of the kids...keep the house...,"having a hard time coming up with the things that make my job the hardest job there is. "It is a none stop job!"

"Oh." is all I managed to get out.

It was very odd. I feel very blessed and grateful that I have the opportunity to stay home with my kids right now but I couldn't care less what other people think about my "job". I understand that she was trying to butter me up or something because she wanted me to buy the thing she was selling but she did it in a very poor way. She made it sound like what I do isn't that big of deal but I probably feel like it is so she was going to make an extra big deal about it. Really, I don't feel like it is the "hardest job there is". It is definitely a hard job and can get monotonous but I love it. I would much much rather be doing what I am doing than working somewhere and sending my kids to day care or not having children. Anyways, I know she met well but it came across very bad and almost belittling. It was funny. Thought I would share :)

I'm giving in...2 years later

So this past Sunday I have come to a realization that I am going to have to iron clothes for the rest of my life if I am going to or should I say do have a house full of boys. I really don't mind ironing once I get started, it is just hard to get started. When Bradley was born and I put his first little button up shirt on him I told Kyle that there was no way I was going to iron a tiny little boy's shirt. (That would just be ridiculous) But... the shirts look better ironed. I have given in. I am going to have to iron their little shirts whether I like it or not. There are just some sacrifices that are going to have to be made if I want my little boys to look good. So from now on I will be an ironer. Yay :(

Just a reminder :)

If Ethan were Bradley I would be having a baby today!!! Crazy! Ethan seems like such a little baby to me still. But I really do love having them as close as they are. It is a lot of fun. It was hard probably the first 6 months but it's fine now. It is a lot of fun to see them play together. It is really cute. Bradley just gets a kick out of making Ethan laugh and Ethan loves laughing at Bradley. Honestly the hardest part probably was taking them to church before Bradley was in nursery and that was only 4 months. But I just sat out in the hallway the whole time. I would actually suggest having two kids that close. It really is a lot of fun. Bradley just loved Ethan when we brought him home from the hospital. He would just give him so many kisses. He wasn't old enough to get jealous yet or anything. He adjusted so well. But also I am glad that we waited a little bit longer this time because I am able to enjoy just these two boys a little bit longer and keep them babies. And by the way I am already a fourth of the way done! :)

Our Dating Story

I've been tagged...

1. Where did you meet your husband? 70th ward (our singles ward:) We had both been in the same ward for 6 months but never even saw each other. Our meeting was perfect timing because if we would have met any sooner I was dating a guy. I had just stopped dating this guy 2 weeks before we met. And that was perfect too because I wasn't that heartbroken or anything. This guy and I had been dating off and on for an entire year before and so when this time came it really wasn't that big of deal to me. But it was really good to have those experiences before hand because then when I met Kyle I knew it was right because it felt completely different. It felt right!
2. What was the first thing you said to your husband? um, probably "hey". We saw each other in the hallway before church stared and of course checked each other out :) Then we saw each other again before Sunday School and said "Hey" (very romantic I might add :) Then I went to Sunday School and he came into that class this week. He normally didn't because he went to the new member classes with his friend that was a new member. But he decided to come to this class for some reason this week. (I wonder why :) So then after class we put chairs away and he came up and talked to me. We talked about how it was Easter Sunday and he didn't even realize it until his friend's girlfriend came over with Easter baskets for them. Then bye the end he asked me if I wanted to go with him to the fireside to night. I said "yes" of course.
3. Where was your first date? To a fire side that his friend Rocky was speaking at. Then we hung out every day until like a year into our marriage. So we got to know each other pretty well really fast.
4. Where was your first kiss? At his apartment on his couch.
5. How long did you date? 8 weeks
6. Did you have a long or short engagement? Short, 6 weeks. Sorry Mom. I didn't even realize that that was probably pretty stressful for you. But we did it :)
7. Where did you get engaged? In the field behind Mountain View :) We went for a walk (which we did frequently) and we started walking behind Mountain View. I said we should go through the neighborhood but he said he didn't want to. I put up a little fight and finally he said that he just doesn't like walking through the neighborhood. I was like okay whatever and so we through the field towards the canal. We got to the middle of the field and the was a bucket. I said, " What is that?" He said, "I don't know lets go look." So started walking over there. By that time I kind of figured out what was going on because we had discussed it already (we had a ring being orders) so I kind of backed off. So he walked over to his and said, "Huh" and kicked it over. So I thought I should probably play along and went over there and looked in. There was a dozen roses in it. He pulled them out and handed them to me then got down on his knee and pulled out my wedding band (because he didn't have the engagement ring yet. we had to go pick it up) and asked me to marry him. It was very cute. His hands were all shaky and everything. It was very sweet.
8. Where were you married? Mesa temple
9. How did the reception go? It was perfect. My mom and relatives did a great job. I wasn't stressed at all. (minus taking pictures :)
10. How was the Honeymoon? Wonderful! It was a lot of fun. We went to Long Beach, Cal.

Now I tag Kiera, Jen, Karyn, April, Bethany, and Tatum

Sleepy Bradley

So, when we were at Kiera's house Bradley decided to wake up at like 6 to 6:30 every morning for some weird reason. He never wakes up before 7 here ever! When we got home he continued that. It was so funny. The first morning he woke up he came in and woke us up. The second he decided to just sit in he chair and wait for us. Kyle woke up at 6:20 to get ready for work and he takes a shower and had to get something out of the laundry room so he walks out there completely naked and low and behold Bradley is sitting there in his chair. Just sitting there. Totally taking Kyle off guard he runs back in our room and gets a dressed and comes back out to see what he was doing. It was very funny. In consequence of waking up earlier he is getting tired earlier. He ends up just falling asleep in his chair. Just barley I went and made him a cheese crisp for lunch and I was going to lay him down after for his nap but when I went to go and see how he was doing, well he was already asleep on the stairs! I guess he was too tired to go up them to me. He is so sweet. I love being his mom. I love having my children. They are so precious. I can't imagine life with out them. It was be so meaningless. I am so glad that they are in our family. I love you boys! All of you boys :)

Going Home

We had a lot of fun visiting Kiera and her family. Kyle came and picked us up Friday night and we went home Saturday afternoon. It was very nice of him. Kiera babysat while we did a session in the temple. That was a lot of fun. (Thanks!) Bradley was ready to go though. He didn't like that we left with out him so when we came back he was ready to go somewhere. He didn't want to wait even to take a picture so Kyle put him in. You probably can't see Kyle he is hiding behind Bradley ;) jk. It was a lot of fun though. Thanks for letting us come with you. Your girls are so sweet. I love them so much. See ya in a month or so when you have your baby!
